Coach Martin
Nordic Ski and Running Coach
MVB are my initials and it represents the personal touch and individual attention that I put into clients and training programs. My coaching philosophy for endurance and “lifestlye” athletes is driven by empowering athletes to become the best versions of themselves and continually chasing improvements. I turned my passion of coaching 1-on-1 into a full-time business in 2021, and have loved the process. My business allows me to deliver world-class coaching to all my clients no matter their starting point. I continue to educate myself and maintain strong connections throughout the coaching and sporting world. Over my 17+ years of coaching I have remained a student of sport and physiology.
I grew up as a competitive soccer player, cross-country runner, and cross-country skier. After a successful NCAA Division I skiing career, I made the transition to coaching. I’ve coached for multiple junior club programs, NCAA programs, and lead a premier ski Academy. Prior to starting my own business, I was a US National Team coach for the US Paralympic program, working closely with the physiologists and support staff of Team USA. I have worked closely with multiple skiers who have gone on to the Olympic games, medaled at the Paralympics, World Championship medalists, and more. I love to scale what I know to your goals and needs.
I am based in Truckee, California, but on the virtual platform I can support athletes around the world. Reach out today to find out if I am a good fit for you and your goals.
